  • Borusan Lojistik Gemlik Port is one of the first operational ports in Turkey to be licensed with its own Waste Receiving Facility, opened for operation in 2006.
  • Consequently, now all waste produced during business processes is appropriately dispatched to licensed firms to either be recycled or disposed of in accordance with all relevant regulations.
  • In addition to the various environmental responsibility projects Borusan Lojistik has implemented, including “Environmental Penguins”, “Sweeper Fish Activity” and “Acorn Gathering Campaign”, a venture was jointly initiated with The Foundation for the Protection and Promotion of the Environment and Cultural Heritage (ÇEKÜL) in 2011 to create a forest of 1,000,000 trees by the end of 2015.
